Hazel Polat

Education:

Studied Law and Politics at Lancaster University
BPP Law School, London

Experience: Called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2006, Hazel previously worked as a non-practising Barrister and in March 2008 joined Callaghans as a Solicitor.

Hazel has dealt with personal injury claims at all levels as well as commercial and contract dispute resolution and litigation. She has extensive advocacy experience, appearing in the County Courts representing clients in relation to application hearings and re-possession claims. Hazel is also experienced in researching complex issues and drafting pleadings and short opinions in relation to disputed matters. She is able to provide tactical advice on liability issues and quantum, including providing early assessments of the merits of a potential claim or, if necessary, advising that an early settlement be sought.
