PEOPLE AT CALLAGHANS
Lynn Henderson
Solicitor - Head of Family Department
Education:
Lynn read law at Exeter University and Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. She trained in the City of London with Lovells and qualified as a solicitor in 1981.
Experience:Lynn worked for a number of years in London before moving to the country. She has joined Callaghans from a firm in Cambridge where she was Head of Family Law.
She specialises in all aspects of private family law, with particular emphasis on the financial consequences of relationship breakdown including cases where there are substantial assets, trusts, pensions and family businesses. She also deals with disputes regarding children.
Lynn trained in collaborative law in March 2005, and has significant experience of conducting cases in this way where appropriate.
Many family law clients are of course going through an extremely difficult and emotional time. Lynn will work sensitively with each client with a view to reaching a constructive and fair long term solution by agreement, whether the case is a collaborative one or whether it is to be resolved by more traditional negotiations. While experienced in taking cases through the courts, Lynn is committed to trying to reduce hostility and confrontation as much as possible and she believes that court proceedings should be used only as a last resort.
